Camouflaged Cassowary started with a simple idea:
Painting should be fun! ...not intimidating.
We loved the whole paint-and-sip vibe, but not the scheduled times, crowded rooms, or pressure to keep up. So we thought… Why not bring that experience home?
We’re Cameron and Cassie, a proudly Australian husband and wife team, and after more than 20 years of painting, experimenting, and making a mess (the fun kind),
we have realised something important:
Creativity isn’t about getting it 'right', It's about giving it a go!
Camouflaged Cassowary was built to share that experience with others.
The 'switch off after a long day' feeling, coupled with the quiet confidence that sneaks in when you step back and think, 'Hey… I made that!'
Our inspiration comes from all over the place: artists who broke the rules, made their own, or simply reminded us to enjoy the process. From Bob Ross and his happy little accidents, to the bold expressions of Frida Kahlo and Pablo Picasso; from childhood classics like Dr. Seuss, through to the timeless creativity of Vincent van Gogh, Leonardo da Vinci and Claude Monet. All different styles, different stories, but all rooted in the same idea:
Art is meant to be explored, not perfected.
That’s why we created our Arty Party Packs. Using our own original artworks, we’ve created something anyone can pick up and enjoy, whatever your skill level. No pressure, no expectations and definitely no right or wrong way to do it. Here at Camouflaged Cassowary, it’s about setting the vibes, picking up a brush and seeing where your creativity takes you.
